CBAs are low stakes, classroom based assessments that students complete in second and third year as part of their Junior Cycle.
In normal exam conditions, all students will complete CBA1 and CBA2 in each subject. Since 2020, Covid-adjustments have meant that students complete CBA1 or CBA2 in many subjects.
CBAs give students an opportunity to show what they have learnt and to demonstrate their skills and understanding in a manner distinct from a formal examination.
