The College offers an extensive range of subjects and students are entered for Department of Education Examinations at Junior and Leaving Certificate level.

Junior Cycle Curriculum

Three Year course

Junior Certificate students (First, Second and Third Year) study the core subjects of Maths, English, Irish, History, Geography, Science, Religious Education, Computer Studies and Physical Education. They also choose optional subjects from the following:

• French
• German
• Business Studies
• Home Economics
• Materials Technology (Wood)
• Materials Technology (Metal)

Senior Cycle Studies

Two Year course

A two year course, leading to certification in one of the following Leaving Certificate courses, is now available:

• Traditional Leaving Certificate
  All subjects can be taken at Higher or Ordinary level. Irish and Maths may be taken at foundation level. The following subjects are available at Leaving Certificate level:

  French German Business Accounting Home Economics Engineering Construction Studies Geography

  History Applied Mathematics Physics Chemistry Biology Art History Design and Communication Graphics Russian

• Leaving Certificate Applied
  This course has an emphasis on continuous assessment and project work, plus a written examination at the end of the two years. A limited number of subjects are offered on this course.
