School Crest

The development of the new school uniform took over two years to finalise. In September '03 a teachers' committee was formed to investigate the possible styles and options available. Phyllis Farrell, the P.E. teacher at the time, got samples and put together a selection of uniforms. Overall, the style and colours were decided by the Teachers, Parents' Council, Student Council and the Board of Management.

The crest was designed by a Leaving Certificate Applied Student, Daniel (attended 2000 to 2005) and his Art teacher Ms. Lynch. The crest represents the school and its community and how it has developed over the past twenty years:

Castle: symbolises Swords itself.

Tree: symbolises the students of Fingal and how they grow.

Raven: a common symbol of the Fingal area.

The new uniform and crest were launched at the annual Awards Evening 2004.
